Job Description

 

Development of country strategy for the CEO and supporting the CEO towards the attainment of governance, business and financial goals.

 

Contribute to overall success of Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria.

 

Planning, coordination and management support.

 

Coordinate, prepare and deploy strategic reviews that articulate country strategy.

 

Track and measure the effectiveness of strategic and governance initiatives.

 

To support the CEO in all aspects of driving and achieving the business strategy of Nigeria.

 

Provide relevant MIS to enable the achievement of business aspirations.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

 

Strategy/ Planning

 

Development  and management of CEO Nigeria strategic plans and high level business plan including vision, strategic priorities and core /non-core business analysis.

 

Create an impact by managing selected strategic projects and initiatives on the CEO’s behalf.

 

The articulation and communication of country reports ,

 

Take an active role in identifying issues, conducting research and analysis, sysnthesising conclusions and helping implement decisions.
Business Management

 

Work with CEO to effectively manage corporate governance objectives.

 

Keep and maintain adequate records of all business performance management data

 

Prepare performance management reviews / presentations as and when required.

 

Assist with planning and performance of key people management processes

 

Ensuring appropriate tracking/ follow-up mechanism in place to track progress against strategic priorities.
Business Intelligence

 

Deliver appropriate competitor/market research and analysis including perspective on external market trends in our selected product areas.
Qualifications & Skills

 

Good university degree.

 

Broad understanding of corporate governance with more detailed understanding of one or more key areas such as sales process issues, relationship management, risk, product sales etc.

 

Self starter, ambition, dedication and pride in their work.

 

Willing to challenge the status quo.

 

Strong organizational and project management skills with an excellent eye for detail.
In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure that they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A discharge certificate will be required as evidence of completion of the programme. Where an exemption has been granted, a certificate of exemption will also be required.
