Three Nigerian acts namely D’Banj, Seun Kuti, and Wizkid have been nominated for Best Africa Act in the Music of Black Origin, MOBO awards. The awards ceremony is set to take place on October 5th in Glasgow, Scotland. Winners will be picked based on fan voting.
Other African acts contesting for the award include Liquideep (South Africa), Cheikh Lo,Fatoumata Diawara, Owiny Sigoma Band, Smod, Spoek Mathambo and Viewux Farka Toure.
Leading the nominee list are Jessie J, Adele and Tinnie Temper.
