FCTA Plans Mass Housing in Sixteen Districts

DETERMINED to reduce the housing deficit in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the FCT Administration has earmarked about 16 districts in Abuja for mass housing projects.

The FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed who disclosed the plan in Abuja while receiving the board members of the proposed American Hospital and University of Medical Services which paid him a visit, reiterated that the mass housing sites when developed would provide relief FCT residents.

On the proposed American hospital in Abuja, Mohammed promised to support the initiative but said that the entire project needed to be re-conceptualised to achieve the desired goal.

According to him, the re-conceptualisation and repackaging of the whole project would  ensure viability and sustainability as due diligence would be exploited by the Abuja Infrastructure Investment Centre (AIIC) for perfect Public-Private-Partnership.
