We are not joking with the government – Boko Haram Writes another Letter to FG Seeking Dialogue

Dreaded Islamist militant sect, Boko Haram, has reportedly distributed a letter requesting dialogue with the Federal Government.

The letter was allegedly sent through the head of journalists in Borno State, Aba Kakami, less than 72 hours after a double suicide bombing led to the death of at least 17 people at the Protestant Military Church, Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji, Kaduna State.

This is not the first time Kakami will receive and distribute statements from the sect. meanwhile, according to international news agency, Reuters, the letter was signed by Sheik Abu Mohammed Ibn Abdulazeez, a man known in security sources to be a moderate senior member of the sect.

This letter, if genuine, would mark a change of departure of tactics by the group which has been been responsible for many bombings in the country. It reads in part: “We are by this letter of invitation to our respected elders proving to government that we are not joking with the government, but we are awaiting the response of those concerned,” Abdulazeez said in the letter.

  2. Imagine the intimidation ! Boko Haram telling the government that they are not joking. Well, i don’t blame them much for the right person to be blamed here are all the good people of this country who voted a weak & inexperienced coward as a President of this great nation. Why won’t Boko Haram intimidate the government when they knew very well that they are dealing with a naive who knows nothing of a way to stop their tyranny ? In my own opinion, Mr President is using the blood of all the innocent citizens of Nigeria to protect his power. To hell with BOKO HARAM & THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT !!!

  4. Mr. President, I believe that through your media officer, you must have read the caption from the Boko Haram. Do I really blame them? Definitely not. If Mr. President himself could tell the nation that Boko Haram members are his children that he could not use military force to flush them out, this is exactly what you should expect. Next they will tell Mr. President that they will pay him a visit in Aso Rock. Trust they will do it because those who are in Aso Rock are all suspects. They are all paying lip service to the nation concerning the issue of Boko Haram. God help us.
