“We Must All Deprecate This Razzmatazz And Nestorian Braggadocio” – Obahiagbon Slams Pastors With Private Jets

photo Former lawmaker and Chief of Staff to Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, Patrick Obahiagbon has joined the long list of other Nigerians currently condemning Men of God for owning private jets. The famous grammarian voiced his position on the popular social network site (facebook) on Sunday morning. The Edo-born politician asserted that it was morally wrong for pastors to acquire private jets in a country where millions of faithfuls sleep hungry without roofs on their heads. He said, “I cast my vote for Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah and Pastor Tunde Bakare in their demosthenic vitriol against spiritual megalomaniacs whose modus vivendi has become increasingly byzanthine and repulsively narcissistic. We must all begin to deprecate this razzmatazz and Nestorian braggadocio in the “HOUSE OF GOD”, because when there is no difference between the values of a Pastor and a typical Nigerian Politician, then it’s truly a bolekaja ambience,” he said. His statement came following the acquisition of private jet by President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ayo Oritsejafor. Apart from Oritsejafor who is the President of Christian Association of Nigeria, other church leaders who own private jet(s) include: Founder of Living Faith Ministries, Bishop David Oyedepo; General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye; Founder of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), Bishop Mike Okonkwo. Sources say also in the league, is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church. General Overseer of the Word of Life Bible Church, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, had a fortnight ago said the jet-gift was presented to him by members of his church during the celebration of his 40th anniversary in the ministry.

  1. Grammar indeed. Why don’t u read between lines from the testimony of the man of God, that he was given this gift by some members of his church. You don’t need to apportion blame on him but the people that gave it to him. Besides what is the big deal about an aircraft- is it heaven?
If that’s the way the church work in his hands can be facilitated, so let it be. In America, a lot of guys own air-crafts, yet we have destitutes among them. Let’s address issues that’ll deliver us from present challenges in this country and not insignificant isolated cases.

  2. “on difference between pastors and politicians” is Mr patric supposing that dividends of prosperity are exclusive to the politicians ?
The bible rather said “believe the prophets and you’ll prosper”
when those ministries where yet poor I guess people like this will ask “where is your God now ?” but now instead of identifying with that blessing they turn around and talk pour condemnations .
    “judge ye yourselves”.
Am personally believing that God will replicate Abraham’s blessings in people’s life today. And the bible will become more real. When the “philistines will envy Isaac” for his great wealth.

    • BETTER GO AND FIND SOMETHING GOOD TO DO FOR A LIVING. DO U NEED ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD BEFORE U KNOW U ARE BLESSED? WHAT DO U CALL BLESSING, BEING CRAZY FOR MONEY AND LOOK FOR IT WITH GOD’S NAME? WHY MUST HE BUY A PRIVATE JET WHEN WE HAVE PPL WHO CANT EAT, GO TO SCHOOL ETC. JESUS CHRIST NEVER DID THAT AND WE ARE HERE AS CHRISTIANS FOLLOWING HIS FOOTSTEPS. HE ONLY GAVE REASONS THAT HE WANTS TO MEET UP WITH HIS ENGAGEMENTS ON TIME AND RETURN ON TIME, CANT HE DELEGATE ANOTHER PASTOR FROM HIS CHURCH?HE WANTS TO BE GOD IN HIS CHURCH. ABEG, LETS WAIT TILL THE LAST DAY.

  3. Those who condemmed men of God for having private jet are the enemy of the gospel. Meawhile they dont know the scripture psalm 35:27 “the Lord has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant”. Book of matthew says Jesus rode brand new donkey into the city of Jerusalem bcos it is important for Him to ride it. if jet is available then I think He will. Man of God that constantly travel by air if he has private jet I think is not bad. Provided he did not have it in dubious way. Those who condemm why did u have car? Why cant you sell those ur cars and give the money to the poor. So beware politician pastor and others, this is the VOICE OF GOD.

  4. This is a purely spiritual matter. Can you all those who condemmed men of God for having private jet support your reason with bible verse? If you can not u need to ask God for forgiveness. The issue of poverty alleviation in the country does not stop necessities. After all is a gift.

    • The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof…..let the men of God enjoy their Father’s wealth without hindrance as long as they do not obtain it fraudulently. All the politicians that have private jets used our money through stolen mandates, what have we done about them. Are they better than the Men of God who have laboring in the vineyard and are now enjoying the fruits of their labor. I call on all Churches that can afford, buy planes for your spiritual fathers…..do you know that the Pope is the most powerful and influential man on earth? When he is flying in his private jet there are two bombardier jets that go as escort… I am sure Kukah knows about this!

  5. Why wont pastors have private jet especially when he has to fulfill his ministry internationally? I feel sorry for all those who have spoken ignorantly. Read your bible very well. The cattle upon a thousand hills belong to God. God is big and he owns the universe. God cannot be intimidated by private jets owned by the ones he has called into the ministry. God pays big. His salary is both on earth and in heaven. Read your bible very well and stop displaying your ignorance in the public. I look forward to a day when all the pastors who have international ministries worldwide will own private jets.

  7. U ain’t seen nothing. God will continue to bless his servants who are doing his will propagating the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let the kingdom of darkness get mad, more than jet plains will still be released by heaven to these kingdom workers for the propagation of the gospel. In fact i expect mine in due course.
