Mimiko Promises Synergy Between Government & The People As He Is Sworn In For Second Term

Akure, the Ondo state capital wore a colourful look as the state governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko was sworn-in for a second term on Sunday.Guests, irrespective of party affiliation, poured in from all the geopolitical zones of the country to witness the occasion of the swearing-in of the man fondly called ‘Iroko’ by his admirers.

In attendance were the Abia state governor, Theodore Orji, Acting Governor of Taraba state, Alhaji Garba Umar; Nasarawa state governor, Tanko Almakura; Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi and the Anambra state governor, Peter Obi. The Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade also made his royal presence felt.

Former governors Ayo Fayose and Alao Akala were also present.

Dr Mimiko promised that there will be a synergy between government and the people.

Information Nigeria recalls that Mimiko was re-elected for another term during the October 21 Ondo governorship elections with a total valid vote of 260, 199 – claiming a landslide victory in 12 Local Government Areas (LGAs) out of the 15 LGAs in the state.
