The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award is fast gaining momentum and may end up being one of the best and most anticipated movie Awards in Africa. Who better to make history with than Legendary Nigerian Afro-beat King, Femi Kuti, who with his band, will be on stage today, when the first-ever AfricaMagic Viewers’ Choice Awards hold. The event is to be screened live to over 50 countries on the African continent, on DStv and GOtv!
In a night that promises glamour the stars of Africa will be together in a place when the festivities begin at 6:00 pm with a red carpet pre-show to be hosted by eccentric entertainer Denrele Edun, alongside AfricaMagic hosts Helen Paul and Uti Nwachukwu (Jara), Dolapo Oni and Eku Edewor (53 Extra), Lawrence Maleka (StarGist) plus Nic Wang’ondu and Sarah Hassan (Mashariki Mix).
The awards, hosted by Big Brother’s IK Osakioduwa and StarGist leading lady Vimbai Muntinhiri kicks off at 7:00 pm, in Lagos.
Fans will enjoy a great two-hour and 30-minute gala filled with thrilling moments of great performances, as Tiwa Savage and award-winning Kenyan Afro-pop outfit Sauti Sol will also be on stage to perform. The event is being held in association with MultiChoice and is headline sponsored by Amstel Malta.
Don’t know about you, but I think a night where the legendary Femi Kuti and the lady with the sweetest voice performs on a stage will be one not to forget in a jiffy. I can’t wait!
