Liyel Imoke Returns After Three Months On Vacation

2After spending over sixty days outside the shores of Nigeria, Cross River State Governor, Liyel Imoke, returned to the country on Friday night from London aboard a British Airways flight around 7pm.

He immediately flew to Abuja on a chartered flight before returning to Calabar, the state capital.

It would be recalled that Imoke had left Nigeria on November 19, 2012 for undisclosed reasons, although a statement by his office said he informed the state house of assembly on December 6 that he was proceeding on an accumulated leave outside the country and had handed over to his deputy, Efiok Cobham.

The statement had explained that he proceeded on a two-month vacation where he underwent some medical tests.
