Job Title: Operations Support Officer

Job Description

•Collate and consolidate accurate performance metrics for all units in GTO.

•Prepare and produce the GTO metrics dashboard reports, MANCO reports and such other presentation reports as may be required from time to time.

•Analyse and interpret the various GTO performance metrics and the trend.

•To deliver service and support to customers by assisting in the smooth processing of transactions in the reconciliation/investigation of all outstanding items on Suspense account is done

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1.Analyse, challenge and provide insights to ensure that GTO’s cost strategy is robust, and will ultimately enhance shareholder’s value.

2.Regularly collate and consolidate GTO key performance indices and be able to explain the trend analysis.

3.Regularly highlight performance metrics gaps and recommend remedial actions.

4.Engage the units’ heads to ensure they remain on track both with the strategic and tactical direction of the function as it relates to their capacity planning.

5.Develop and maintain secure and sustainable control environment through effective management of Operational Risks, Group and Country regulatory guidelines. Introduce relevant systems, procedures and controls to support them

6.Investigate all internal suspense accounts under the ownership of GTO.

7.Provide support to Group Recons Hub (GRH) to ensure smooth running of Nigeria recons operations.

8.Periodically review procedures and systems in the unit for improvements and enhancements to ensure increase in productivity and efficiency.

9.Develop and manage relationships with key internal customers by anticipating their needs, and ensuring that service standards meet their requirements.

10.Ensure that there are no operational losses due to Recons errors

11.Track and follow up for the closure of actions agreed in the Country’s Data Management Committee

Qualifications & Skills

1.Bachelor’s Degree
2.Accounting Qualification (ACA,ACCA, ICAN) would be advantageous
3.3-4 years experience with any major consulting firm would be added advantage
4.Sound analytical skills to analyse, interpret, resolve and change workflow and improve productivity
5.Eye for detail
6.Good working knowledge of banking and statutory regulations and back office processing
7.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
8.Ability to identify, analyse and manage operational risks
9.High level of computer literacy and Microsoft office especially MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
10.Excellent written and oral communication skills
