Commuters are stranded as bus drivers, taskforce clash

The clash at the popular Aroma Junction in the state capital of Anambra over alleged non-compliance with the payment of the prescribed fee of registartion and branding of commercial vehicles by task force brought about an ugly experience to travellers passing through Awka, Anambra State.

The attack occured when one of the drivers parked to pick a passenger and a task force pounded on him, trying to impound his vehicle also.

For several hours, movement was virtually hampered as other drivers blocked the expressway way in protest of their colleague.

Drivers alleged that members of task force are making life difficult for them, adding that the task force forced  them to pay all sorts of levies while passing through Anambra State.
