Mum Fails At Impersonating Daughter In English Exam

A disguise worn by a 52-year-old woman in Paris didn’t make the grade when she tried to take a high school English exam for her 19-year-old daughter last week.

The critical bacchalauréat exams are key to getting into university and the mom, identified as Caroline D., tried to impersonate her much younger daughter, Laetitia, by wearing “elaborate” makeup, low-waist jeans and Converse shoes, The Local reports.

Unfortunately for the stunt student mom, who wanted to ensure her daughter got a good mark, a supervisor realized it wasn’t Laetitia because he was remembered her from a philosophy exam two days earlier.

The disguised mom spent two hours writing the exam, during which school officials called police, The Local reported.

Four plainclothes police were waiting for the bogus student, who admitted her role in the exam scam, and charged her with fraud.

Laetitia is banned from writing the exam for five years.
