Both officials and players responsible for the “mind boggling” one-hundred-and-forty-six “scandalous” goal glut have been handed a life-time ban.

According to the recommendations by the committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on the matter, the match officials in the two play-off matches will not handle football matches again.

And all the four amateur clubs involved in the two play-off matches have been giving a ten-year ban.

Plateau United Feeders team defeated Akurba FC 79-0 while Police Machine FC were 67-0 winners over Babayaro FC in promotion play-offs into Nigeria Nationwide League Division 3.

“The NFF have accepted the recommendations and they would be communicated to the clubs, the state FAs, CAF and FIFA,” announced NFF vice-president Chief Emeka Umeh.

“We would publish all the names of players and officials with their photographs and details.”
