NANS’ ASUU Strike Protest In Asaba: Police Warn Parents

DELTA State Police Command, weekend, urged parents to warn their children/wards against participating in the planned protest by the National Association of Nigeria Students, NANS, scheduled to hold from today till Friday in Asaba, Delta State.

“We have information that the protest is being sponsored by some unidentified persons and that hoodlums will hijack it to cause unrest in the state and the police cannot fold their hands and watch people cause problem,” Commissioner of Police, Ikechukwu Aduba, said in a statement.

The statement read: “It will be recalled that students under the aegis of National Association of Nigeria Students; Delta State chapter, applied to Delta State Police Command for Police permit to stage a peaceful rally in relation to the ongoing nationwide strike by ASUU.
