The new Commandant deployed to the 23 Armoured Brigade in Yola, Adamawa State, Brigadier General Rogers Ibe Nicholas Wednesday promised to end insurgency in the state.

The brigade commandant made the pledge when speaking to newsmen, who paid him a courtesy visit to welcome him to the state at his office.

Nicholas said although the check points mounted by the military could be stressful but he advised the general public to cooperate with the military at these check points, stressing that these check points were instrumental to reducing the infiltration of the insurgents into the state.

He revealed that many Boko Haram suspects were arrested and weapons seized at these check points, and therefore called on the public to accept the situation in good faith.
