Weeks before showing off his luxury cars worth millions of Naira, Pastor Chris Okotie of the Household of God made a controversial statement, saying that all Catholics would go to hell.

Apparently, the Pastor who says God told him to run for Presidential seat of Nigeria seems to be standing firm in his controversial words he spoke against Catholics, the Pope and their doctrines.

When asked in a recent interview with PUNCH why he said Catholics were going to hell, this is what he had to say: –

You recently stirred up controversy when you said Catholics would go to hell. Why did you say that?

 It is because the church perverts the gospel of Jesus Christ and that perversion is located in the leadership. Even as Pope Francis recently announced. However, there are many good Christians within the Catholic Church who are not aware of the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, that has substituted Mary for Jesus, in what is known as the hyperdulia of the Virgin Mary. Salvation for them is not through Jesus alone but in accordance with what Pope Francis recently announced to the world. That, in itself, is a direct violation of the sanctity of the scriptures.

You even described the Pope as “an anti-Christ and a friend of Satan” and that the Catholic Church is a counterfeit church set up by Satan. What made you say this?
The heresies in their doctrine and the recent announcement by Pope Francis corroborate this position.
Why he preaches with bodyguards on the pulpit ?
Yes, there have been threats. And you know the days are evil, so we need to be more circumspect. The Bible says wisdom is profitable to direct.

  10. @Eco Chris Okotie is not right what exactly has he told us will make the Catholics go to hell? He is just talking to seek attention but if your really interested in knowing the doctrines of the church ask a priest he will take time and explain the doctrines to you. The Catholic doctrine is really enlightening and interest. And Chris should not talk about leadership of the Catholics because the pope Francis and his successors are leaders in the true sense of the word if he calls them bad leaders what will we say about a man of God who divorces twice what is he teaching his congregation that its ok to divorce? He should know that leaders lead by example what example has he to teach his congregation Pope Francis teaches Charity Forgiveness World Peace and the likes. What has Chris got to teach? Buy new luxury cars divorce your wives have body guards and run for presidency 3 times claiming its Gods voice that is instructing you. Who will you prefer to lead you. I rest my case

    • @ugonwa: one thing I can point out right now as am typing, at The Church of the Assumption, Falomo, Ikoyi Lagos, there are about three people kneelling down before the statue of Mary outside the church, praying to that image. Exodus 20:4. That is the church doctrine. And for those GOOD Catholic Christians in the church, as long as the church doctrine is sinful, its members are under that sin, whether they be good Christians or not, unless they leave the church or the church change its doctrine. It is called CORPORATE SIN.

This is a pastor that owe his worker many years salary without paying and still send him to jail,how could you expect somebody a family man to serve you all his life voluntarily when you are buying cars that worth millions of dollars for your own enjoyment?is that a man of God??????infact God is refurbishing your home in hell because is in the bible that a worker must be paid his wages before his sweat dried off,how will you account for this?anyway all christians are going to hell anyway.

Your customer because your aim is to make money. The bible said Judge not so that you shall not be judged. You Chriticized a church that you do not know the doctrine just to get customers.   21. Pastor Chris is telling the truth. Catholic means universal the original church which was later ‘overthrown’ by the Romans and it became Roman Catholic. That is the genesis of today’s catholic church. because of space I will highlight some points. Mary is called mediatrix between man and God. Only Jesus is the mediator between man and God. Mary is called queen of heaven, there is no such position in heaven infact the name was given to a roman goddess . The roman Catholics pray that ‘Mary mother of God pray for us sinners, it is not possible for her to do that only Jesus and the Holy spirit has the power to pray for us. The bible says do not make any graven image and do not bow down to it for I am a jealous God visiting the iniquities of the fathers to the 3rd and 4th generation…. I saw a catholic church recently with a huge statute of ‘Mary’ on the pulpit. that is idolatry. Roman Catholic is deep in Roman pagan worship. The pagan activities are Easter celebration, gotten from the name Ishtar, the roman goddess of fertility. that’s why you see bunnies and colored eggs. Christmas, celebration of pagan god Baal . Jesus left some festivals which are only celebrated by Israelite today , the feast of tabernacle, passover, first fruit etc. Please read the bible well and follow the instruction carefully. I mean the canonical books not the apochryfal books. Jesus said ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one cometh to the Father except through me. Jesus is Lord.

      I really thank God for using pastor okotie to speak out, though he might not be righteous because he also done series of things contradicting the word of God. But don’t forget that God can even use a day old baby or a mad person to speak to you, because the ways of God are not the ways of man.

      we must not also forget that bible said that ( many are destroyed for lack of knowledge ) if we believed that HOLY BIBLE IS OUR STANDARD, as a Christian, why are we going contrary to the will of God? Bear in mind that you pastor or your Rev. Father can not take you to heaven, for heaven is an individual race so study your bible and make it your standard.

      Ok now anyone that call him or herself a Christian judge him or herself after going through this few quotations now because of space. Revelation22vs7, GENESIS 35vs1-6, ISAIAH 3 vs16-21, Jeremiah 4 vs30, Deuteronomy 22 vs5, Revelation21 vs8, Hebrew10vs26, Hebrew 12 vs29 finally Roman13 vs11-12. So my fellow believers, bible adviced us to buy the truth and sell it not so let go deep into the word of God and do that which pleases God and stop compromising by doing that that pleases us there by contracditing MATHEW6 vs33.

      Remain blessed as you go through this few quotations and judge ourselves, amend our ways and cry out for forgiveness to the Almighty God and not through Mary because our God is not a wicked God but a merciful God.

  31. Believing persons are saved both Catholics, Evangelicals, Pentecostals, etc. But UNBELEIVING Catholics, Pentecostals, Evangelicals, etc, go to hell. The name church doesn’t matter. All that matters is the subject of faith. Acknowledge that you are a sinner who cannot save himself. And believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as the only personal savior and be saved. He has finished the work of our salvation. No amount of prayers or good works will save you apart from believing in the saving grace of God, which came through Jesus Christ. There is no any other names among men and among the angels that is capable. ONLY JESUS SAVES.

    The Need to Preach the Gospel and the conversion of Souls by whom ever, opened the gate for influx of all sorts of self styled, Men without calling, jobbers and persons who are not properly trained as pastors who now mount the Pulpit.Its either one is Called or Trained .I dont see you in any of this two. Peter was called and Paul was both see his works. You may have a point or desire to Pastor but because you are neither called or Trained properly has made your religious activities very unpriestly conducts and comments pastorially inappropriate. A pastor or Priest should be Scholarly, Saintly, Gentle and Meek.You are always handing down judgements with a Godlike assuptions. Pastor T B Joshua and members, Pastor Chris and his Christ Embassy now Catholics will all go to HELL. Due to this lack of both Calling and proper Training you move from one blunder to another. No human institution is perfect and yours is most.if you believe in God, then Pray for erring priest as bible said or join argument with them gently and also remove those your guards.
