President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of the leadership of the forthcoming National Conference.
This was contained in a statement Monday night by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim.
The president named a former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Jutice Idris Kutigi, as the Chairman.
Others are a former Minister of External Affairs, Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi​​​ (Vice Chairman), and wife of the Director-General of Nigerian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies, Dr. Valerie Azinge​​​ (Secretary).
The appointees are to resume on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Abuja and would be received on arrival by the SGF, while the committee is expected to be inaugurated by President Jonathan on the 10th of March.
The committee is to midwife the proposed three-months National Conference in Abuja.
