APPLICANTS AT THE NIGERIAN IMMIGRATION SERVICE RECRUITMENT IN OWERRI ON SATURDAY (15/3/14).

As tales of woe and tears continue to trail the recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, reports we are monitoring indicate that the exercise went without a hitch in Sokoto State. This was attributed to the adequate arrangements put in place by organizers.

The Comptroller of the NIS, Sokoto Command, Yunusa Aliyu, disclosed that 10,000 applicants took part in the exercise in Sokoto State.

“We have made adequate arrangements to ensure sanity during the screening and the writing of the one-hour examination later today,” he said. “So far so good we have not recorded any stampede or any security problems”.

“It will be conducted successfully as we have started by the special grace of God”, Mr. Aliyu added.

It was learnt that adequate measures had been put in place at the venue of the exercise, Immigration Command and Staff College, SokotoImmigration Command and Staff College, Sokoto, as the prospective candidates were seen in long queues and conducting themselves in orderly manner.

  2. @afro can u hear urself talking can u compare 10thousand people in a state in d north to 50 thousand people in a state in the south going for the same exercise and the same number of officers are sent there to carryout d exercise.how will there be orderliness and composure when things are not put in place in a state where they have more candidates?and u sit there and talk like a daft insulting the southerners with the ratio of those who went for the exercise in the north and the south it shows that we the southerners are more educated than d northerners and u can’t change that if the same number of people who came out for the excercise in the north as it was in the south we would hve heard more horrible news
