Stoke City/Arsenal Team News: Odemwingie a Major Doubt, Ozil Returns for Gunners

Stoke City’s Peter Osaze Odemwingie is in line to be sidelined for Arsenal’s visit of the Britannia Stadium with a calf injury, but record signing, Mesut Ozil, will start for Arsene Wenger’s men.

However, Stokes boss Mark Hughes would have skipper John Walters available despite suffering illness earlier in the week.

John Guidetti returns to the squad, having been ineligible to face his parent club Manchester City.

Record signing Mesut Ozil will play after recovering from a hip injury.

Wenger gave his players two days off this week to help them revitalise their bodies and minds for the upcoming fixtures- with Everton, Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City games ahead.

Gunners defender Thomas Vermaeleln has shaken off injury and could deputise at left-back if Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal fail their late fitness tests.
