Kaduna United Switches to Ranch Bees Stadium for Luck- Report

Players of Glo Premier League club Kaduna United have opted against playing their home games at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in favour of the sub-standard Ranch Bees Stadium in a quest for brighter fortunes.

The development would however go down well with Kano Pillars, who still has two more matches to play in Kaduna, following their three-game banishment from their home ground by the LMC.

Kaduna United manager Garba Lawal disclosed to AfricanFootball.com that the players “say their luck” is at the Ranch Bees Stadium and would rather forfeit one of the best facilities in the country for their new-found home.

“Our home matches are now being played at the Ranch Bees Stadium because the players opted to play there. They say there luck is there and so far they have been winning their games there,” said Lawal.

“But in our own days, we had the confidence to play on good pitches and so would rather play at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium pitch, which is one of the best in the country today.”

Amateur league sides like Kaduna Bees and Boro United have also ceased the opportunity to host matches at the 30,000 capacity stadium designed in 1965.
