Brief Posting Description

We are currently recruiting for a Shutdown Planner on a rotational basis located at Bonny Island, Nigeria, initial duration is 3-4 months with possible extension until December 2014.

The successful candidate will be required t o produce overall shutdown level-IV Work Schedule including Manpower & progress Reports Histogram and S-curve.

To attend periodic meeting (i.e., monthly, weekly, & etc) relevant to plant shutdown as scheduled by NLNG Shutdown Coordinator/Engineer.

Accountability 

Own, update and create level 1/2/3/5 schedules for all Shutdowns and PET projects, to liaise with all departments, discipline and team leads to create an integrated Master Schedule.

To review the shutdown approved scope list from NLNG Turnaround and use as starting point for planning / scheduling work. Establish any further documentation required to execute the work.

Principal Responsibilities 

Carry out planning and scheduling activities for all stages of SDs project Life cycle. During shutdown proper to update the work progress, and reports on daily basis and attend daily progress meeting as chaired by the NLNG Shutdown Coordinator/Engineer. Identify to the shutdown Team any areas of concern, with regard to delays/slippage or may constitute a change in scope. To prepare close-out report upon completion of shutdown activities.

Job Requirements

Project management mythologies, extensive planning, project controls and scheduling experience.

Managed a multicultural and multiethnic labour and supervisory force including local nationals

Able to produce/present detailed reports.

Planning Tool, Primavera ? P3 & P6

Minimum of 5 years post graduation experience as a mechanical or maintenance Engineer in the oil & gas petrochemical power or mining industry. Engineering position in the oil and gas petrochemical or similar process industry.

HND or B.Sc / B.ENG Mechanical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
