Kenneth Omeruo has reportedly been sidelined for Nigeria’s friendly match against Scotland in London with Malaria.
The Chelsea FC defender, who featured for Championship side Middlesborough in the second half of the previous season will not be listed in Nigeria squad for Wednesday’s World Cup warm-up against Scotland.
“Keneth will not feature in today’s match against Scotland because he has malaria,” a top source revealed to AfricanFootball.com.
“The Chelsea doctor is handling his case.”
Meanwhile, the centre-back is expected to formally ink a new three-year deal at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday before the Super Eagles jet out of London for Houston, USA,- where they will complete their training camp- the following day.
Nigeria will play two more warm-up games against Greece and the USA before leaving for Brazil.
