Date Of Dora Akunyili’s Burial Set For August 28th

The much spoken about Former DG of NAFDAC and also former Minister of Information and Communications — late Dora Akunyili who died on the 7th of June in an Indian Specialist Cancer hospital will be buried on the 28th of August her husband has said.

Mr Akunyili thanked Nigerians who stood by her during her 2-year battle with cancer, and those supporting them now after her demise.

He encouraged anyone who has a tribute or testimonial in her honour to send a mail to any of the below addresses and also call any of the below phone numbers if need be.

He also thanked President Goodluck Jonathan for the special valedictory session of the Federal Executive Council held in her honour.

  1. I want to appreciate Mrs Akunyili for what she has done, her lifetime surely would be remembered for a long time in Nigeria she has helped our nation in unexplainable ways. Thank you Mrs Akunyili may you soul surely rest in peace.

  2. Is indeed a sad moment for the student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Enugu campus. I hav in two occassions met her why she was adressing some issue. She gave me notting bt she have done all for me. I call her ma role model and mentor. Mummy,as u sleep on,I wil trade in ur footprint of fearlessness and high moral of discipline,popularity and the zeal to help the poor.
