Adidas Suspends Nigeria Contract as FA Row Continues

Nigeria kit sponsors adidas™ have put their contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on hold, with the country’s government yet to revert its decision to appoint a sole administrator for its football family.

The world football governing body has issued a deadline date of Tuesday, 8th July, for Nigeria to reinstate the sacked NFF president Aminu Maigari, its executive committee members and the congress. reports that German kit manufacturers view the latest development, which Fifa says is a direct interference by government on the country’s football, as an “embarrassment”.
