Minister Laments Escalation Of Boko Haram Attacks In Borno

The Minister of State for Power, Hon. Mohammed Wakil, has lamented the escalation of Boko Haram attacks in Borno state, particularly in Damboa, his hometown. He however assured that the federal government was ready to send more military and humanitarian support to the people.

In a statement issued on Monday, the minister’s Special Adviser on Media, expressed sadness at the relentless killings of innocent souls and the destruction of multi million naira properties in the holy month of Ramadan, describing the development as a sad turn and a depressing experience for the people of Borno state.

“I am at pain with my people on this incessant killings and destruction of lives and properties. We are all collectively sad for such horrendous attacks. We are at loss as to why killings for no just cause are the pass time of this group. I commiserate with our people who lost loved ones and properties in the attacks”, he said.
