The rapper who has ventured into a lot of different things has spread his wings even more again.

Shad Moss aka Bow Wow, has been picked to play a hacker in CSI spinoff “CSI: Cyber.”

Bow Wow (who’s recently insisted on using his real name, Shad Moss) has been acting almost as long as he’s been rapping, with career-making roles in “Like Mike” and “Roll Bounce” already under his belt at this point.

These days, he’s most visible as the host of “106 & Park,” but it looks like he’s just booked another big role.

The Hollywood Reporter says Moss has been cast in an upcoming “CSI” spin-off entitled “CSI: Cyber.”

Allow THR to describe his role for you:

“Moss will play 19-year-old hacker Brody ‘Baby Face’ Nelson. A cyber-intrusion savant, he’s been ordered by a judge to work with Special Agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) ‘on loan’ to assist with a cyber case. Growing up without any parental guidance, Nelson joined “hacktivist” groups to give himself an extended family. His dilemma will be working for the feds while trying to keep his fingers out of the Deep Web, where he was groomed to be one of the most prolific hackers in the world.”

Moss tweeted the news earlier today:
