If there’s one team urging to make an impression, it’s Manchester United. After a disgusting previous season that saw the 2012-2013 champions’ finish 7th, changes needed to be implemented to avoid exacerbating the disaster.

David Moyes was sacked and replaced by a more experienced manager in the guise of Louis vanGaal.

After a fair outing in the World cup that saw Holland finish 3rd, van Gaal is set for a fresh new challenge, this time in club football.

For a Manchester outfit where standards are very high, the former Holland boss would be expected to find a trophy in his maiden season.

Vice-Captain Darren Fletcher though is confident United can mount a challenge this season. He told BBC: ”We’re out to win the league. I dont think this club should ever fall into the trap of being satisfied with top four. That’s not the Manchester United i know.”

Swansea recently completed the signing of Ecuador winger Jefferson Montero. The 24-year old had an impressive campaign in Brazil. He joins the list of top acquisitions made by the club including; Lukasz Fabaianski, Stephen Kingsley and  Marvin Emnes

On Saturday, lunch time kickoff, both sides would open the curtain to the new season at Old Trafford.
