Boko Haram Kills Winners’ Chapel Youth Pastor, 19 Others In Borno

A pastor of the Living Faith Church a.k.a Winners’ Chapel, Eliud Gwamna Mshelizza has been killed by suspected members of the Boko Haram sect.

A teacher at the Government Girls Secondary School, Shaffa, Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State, as well as 18 others were also killed when the suspected terrorists attacked Shaffa and Shindiffu villages in the local government.

Residents who fled the villages when the terrorists attacked at about 8pm on Wednesday said Shaffa was the first point of call for the suspected Boko Haram members, before they went on to attack Shindiffu at around 11 am on Thursday.

Reports say that most of the victims of the attack were Christians. About 10 churches were also razed down by the terrorists, who also destroyed several houses, a clinic, the staff quarters and some structures at the school in Shaffa.

The terrorist, according to eyewitnesses seemed to be headed for another Christian community, Turaku village, but were stopped in their tracks by military troops from Adamawa axis and Biu Military barracks who were on their trail. Reports from the area indicated that almost all the terrorists were killed by the military.
