Parma’s Biabiany Ruled Out Indefinitely With Heart Problem

Parma are set to be without French winger Jonathan Biabiany till further notice after his fitness test revealed he has a heart problem, says the club sports director Leonardo Spiega.

Biabiany, whose current contract runs until June 2018, was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia on 1 September, a day after playing for the Serie A side in a 1-0 defeat to promoted Cesena.

“Jonathan was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia on 1 September. It is the first time we’ve seen this in any of our fitness tests,” said Spiega told the club’s official website. “Consequently, he has undergone several tests and on the basis of these, following consultation with external specialists, we decided he should not play for a limited period of time.
