Valbuena Ruled Out after Appendectomy

Dynamo Moscow midfielder Mathieu Valbuena has underwent an emergency appendectomy and will be sidelined from at least his side’s next two fixtures, according to sporting director Guram Adzhoev.

“Mathieu (Valbuena) felt acute pain Monday night,” Adzhoev said. “Our doctors reacted quickly and rushed him into the hospital where he underwent successful surgery.

“Valbuena is still in the hospital. It’s hard to predict the exact period of his complete recovery, but I think he will definitely miss the next two matches.”
