The state government while announcing the closure of the fuel station on Tuesday claimed that it constituted environmental hazard to the society.

Reacting to the closure on Wednesday in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Wole Olujobi, in Ado Ekiti, the speaker assured that shutting down of his fuel station will not make him abandon his party, the All Progressives Party, APC.

Omirin, who insisted he satisfied all the required environmental laws and got approval to build his fuel station at that location, questioned why the governor is victimising his opponents in such a manner.

Meanwhile, the governor through his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, refuted Omirin’s claims, saying the reason for closing down the fuel station is to ensure sanity and safety in the state capital.
