Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu of Niger State on Friday reshuffled his cabinet as he named supervisory commissioners to replace five members of his cabinet that resigned their appointments two weeks ago.
Disclosing the development is the state’s Commissioner for Information, Danladi Ndayebo, while speaking with newsmen after the state’s Executive Council meeting on Friday.
Ndayebo informed that he now supervises the Ministry of Environment, Parks, Gardens and Forest Resources.
According to him, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Prof. Muhammed Kuta Yahaya will supervise the Ministry of Tertiary Education.
Also, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Joshua Bawa is to take over the Science and Technology ministry.
The Commissioner for Youth Development, Alhaji Abubakar Garba Mohammed, will oversee the portfolio of the Commissioner of Sports.
It was also gathered that the Commissioner of Health and Hospital Services, Hajiya Hadiza Abdullahi will henceforth coordinates activities in the Ministry of Gender Affairs and Social Development.
