international campaign begging the Iranian couart to spare the life of the woman, who was sentenced to death over killing her attempted rapist, failed.
The 26-year-old Reyhaneh Jabbari was executed by hanging on October 25.
She was arrested in 2007 and sentenced to capital punishment two years later. The court decision was followed by international outrage, as the deceased allegedly tried to sexually abuse her.
Jabbari also admitted to stabbing the victim once but said another man killed her. Still, Amnesty International believes her claim has never investigated.
