Jonathan Lacks Political Will To Lead, Says Kwankwaso

Rabiu KwankwasoGovernor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State, has said that President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration lacks the political will and capacity to lead Nigeria out of the insecurity and economic challenges.

Kwankwaso, who is a presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made this view known on Saturday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, when he met with leaders of the party on his presidential ambition ahead of the December 10 primaries of the party.

He lamented that the Peoples Democratic Party-led federal government had poorly performed in terms of governance of the country.

Kwankwaso wondered why Jonathan’s government had failed to address the issue of insurgency in the North-East and other parts of the region, adding that impunity and total disregard for the Rule of Law characterized his government.

The governor said all these were enough for the PDP to lose in the forthcoming elections, promising the readiness of APC to salvage the country from all the problems confronting the nation.

The presidential aspirant further expressed displeasure over the inability of the Nigerian Armed Forces to restore peace in troubled states, despite their achievements in some West African countries.

He said, “You saw what happened at the National Assembly. Nobody is happy about that. Everybody is angry and shocked about it. It is a sign of the impunity we have been talking about.

“We saw the signs early and decided to leave. The PDP printed one form for one man. We have never seen anything like that. This time round, PDP is as weak as any other party in the past. It is presenting only one man”.
