Klopp Would Want to Manage an English Team

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has hinted he wouldn’t rule out the chances of managing an English team in the future.

The 47-year-old has been linked with a move to England, with Manchester City, Chelsea and more recently Arsenal a potential destination. He was also among the list of potential successor to Sir Alex Ferguson following his departure from Manchester United in 2013.

Klopp has now revealed he has what it takes to manage an English team and thinks, other than the German Bundesliga, the Premier League appeals to him.

“It’s the only country, I think, where I should work, really, next to Germany, because it’s the only country I know the language a little bit and I need the language for my work.”

In an interview with BT Sport’s SportsHUB programme, which will be aired in full on Saturday afternoon, he added: “So we will see. If somebody will call me, then we will talk about it.”

Dortmund won back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012, and were losing finalists to Bayern Munich in the 2013 Uefa Champions League final at the Wembley Stadium.

Arsenal host the Westfalendians on Wednesday in a Champions League group stage match.
