Umar Aminu Quits Defaulting Samsunspor- Report

Nigeria U-20 star Umar Aminu has terminated his contract with Samsunspor and reported a case against the Turkish second division club to Fifa, after it failed to pay up his salaries.

A top source close to the player disclosed to AfricanFootball.com that the club still owes Aminu a balance of €60,000- part of payment for his transfer last year.

“He has cancelled his contract with Samsunspor and he is no longer at the club because they not only owe him salaries, but also have not completed the payment of his transfer fee,” the source is quoted as saying.

Samsunspor also blocked the player’s move to a bigger club in the summer by placing a million Euros price tag on him.

Aminu, 19, who won the Golden Boot at the 2013 AYC, scored seven goals in his first season at the 19 Mayıs in Samsun.

They currently rank eighth on the 18-team table with 14 points from 10 matches.
