Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola has expressed his commitment to ensuring that the All Progressive Congress (APC) wins in Delta State come 2015.
Aregbesola said this when the Delta APC Governorship candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor visited him as part of his nationwide visit to states governed by the APC.
The duo met behind closed doors and later briefed newsmen on the outcome of the private visit of Emerhor.
“My brother (Olorogun Emerhor) is here to see me and we discussed in details some strategies concerning the forthcoming governorship elections in Delta State,” Aregbesola said.
“APC is very much interested in winning the elections there which is why all our Governors must as a matter of necessity, provide necessary advise and other legitimate assistance to enable Olorogun Emerhor conquer the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State.
“The defunct Bendel State comprises of Edo and Delta States. Edo people are now enjoying substantial dividend of democracy and it is fair that Delta state should join them,” the Osun governor said.
He admitted that there are worries on the election, but noted that Osun state will do its best in ensuring that APC conquers Delta in 2015.
“We, in the State of Osun, have also assured the people of Delta State and Olorogun Emerhor that their struggle is our struggle,” he said.
