Captain of Nigeria’s men’s senior basketball team D’Tigers, Olumide Oyedeji, has been appointed into the Players’ Commission of the International Basketball Federation (Fiba) for the 2014-2019 term of office.
A board member of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Oyedeji was nominated by the country’s governing body on the back of his achievement on and off the court, in and outside his home nation.
He will serve in the newly inaugurated Fiba Players’ Commission under the chairmanship of former Serbia international and National Basketball Association (NBA) great Vlade Divat.
Oyedeji becomes the second Nigerian member of Fiba’s Central Board, joining Dr. Abdullahi Mu’azu, a Director of Sports Medicine with the National Sports Commission (NSC), who is a member of the Fiba Medical Commission.
