Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is set to miss Sunday’s international friendly against South Africa through a back injury.
This is according to the Super Eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye who confirmed the injury concerns of the LOSC Lille shot-stopper.
“Vincent Enyeama is out of the game against South Africa due to a back injury,” Ibitoye said.
In Enyeama’s absence, Warri Wolves goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi is likely to stand in for the first choice.
The 32-year-old made his 100th appearance for Nigeria in Wednesday’s 0-1 defeat by Uganda at the Nest of Champions stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom.
