Leadership reports, ex-wives incurred the wrath of their husbands for choosing to vote for candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while their husbands are devoted supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

A resident of Koninkon community in Jema’a Local government Area of the state noted it was the first time since 1999 that the area was experiencing a different voting pattern.

Mock Kure, a native of the area, confirmed that the women were divorced for carrying out a political campaign in the community. According to him, they were also convincing the people to change their voting pattern.

“I don’t want to talk about those that were cut with knives or bottles. These instances too need prayers for God’s healing. We also want the security agencies to take note,” Kure said.

Leadership has also revealed another case of family breakdown. A young man sent his aged mother out of his house because she voted for the APC in the last election.

When the presidential election were held in Nigeria, the country faced various forms of violence.

Lagos state police arrested a 26-year-old pregnant woman who allegedly stabbed her husband to deathduring a quarrel over who would emerge as the winner between the PDP and the APC candidates.
