Buhari’s victory a “Tsunami” and God’s will – PDP BoT Scribe

Muhammadu-BuhariSecretary of the People’s Democratic Party’s Board of Trustees, Senator Walid Jibrin, Saturday said that no one, except God, could have stopped the All Progressives presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari’s victory at the March 28 presidential election.

According to the BoT Scribe, Buhari’s victory came as a ‘Tsunami’ with such terrific strength that it rubbed off on many APC contestants for various positions, especially the northern parts of the country. He urged all PDP members to accept the will of God as both power and Tsunami come from God.

Jibrin, however, said in order for PDP to emerge stronger from this setback, it is important that the party develop new strategies of bouncing back.

The BoT Secretary, who also reacted to an allegation that top members of the PDP in Nasarawa state collected huge sums of money from Governor Tanko Al-Makura in order to support his re-election, warned the Nasarawa PDP to stop peddling falsehood and start thinking of how to recapture power from APC in 2019.

He also explained that his decision to congratulate President-elect Buhari and Governor Al-Makura was to show statesmanship and patriotism as an elder statesman.

Jibrin stressed that what he did was what the President of the Senate, David Mark did when he congratulated General Buhari (retd.) and visited him.
