Florentina Mulls Taking Mo Salah to Court

Fiorentina could resort to taking legal actions against Mohammed Salah after claiming the Chelsea winger has refused to return to the Viola for a second loan spell.

Salah joined the Italian Serie A outfit in January, at whose time they had highlighted that the loan deal could be extended to cover a further season.

Salah, who scored 9 goals in 26 appearances for the Florence club in the second half of last season, has attracted interest from other European clubs.

Fiorentina now claims the Egypt winger wants to join another club, turned down an improved contract and refused to attend pre-season training.

“We have placed the matter in the hands of our lawyers,” the club said.

The statement added: “The loan agreement runs until 30 June 2015 with the possibility of extending the deal for the 2015/16 season and a further option of making the transfer permanent.”

He joined Chelsea from Basel for about £11m a year earlier but made only 19 appearances and six league starts.

Salah’s move to Fiorentina in January was part of an agreement to sell Juan Cuadrado the opposite direction for £23.3m.
