Juwon Oshaniwa Joins Scottish Club Hearts

Nigeria international defender Juwon Oshaniwa has penned a three-year deal with newly promoted Scottish Premier League (SPL) side Hearts.

The 24-year-old has spent the last three years with Ironi Ashdod in the Israeli Premier division. He made 13 appearances for the club last season as they suffered relegation from top flight football.

The left-back met with his new team-mates in training on Saturday morning, but will have to wait for the completion of his international clearance to resume work.

Hearts kicks off their SPL campaign at home to St. Johnstone on Sunday, but that match has come too early for Oshaniwa.

The former Kwara United, Lobi Stars and Sharks player, featured in all of Nigeria’s matches at the 2014 Fifa World Cup and has won a total of 17 caps for the country.
