Unbelievable!!! 28-Year-Old Man Dupe AIG Umar Manko Of Half A Million

Assistant Inspector General of Police, Umar Manko has been duped by a 28-year-old man, Seun Bankole to the tune of N450,000.

According to PM News, the young man who has since been arrested and in court for the fraudulent act, was said to have been engaged by Manko, a former commissioner of police in Lagos state, at Ayisome estate, Isheri in Idimu.

Manko reportedly entrusted cable wires, bags of cement and some packets of tiles valued at N450,000 for his property to Bankole for ongoing construction work, but the artisan allegedly carried away and sold everything at give away price before escaping into thin air without carrying out his duty accordingly.

It was when the police chief returned and discovered what Bankole did to him that he reported the young man at Area M command, Idimu, which led to the contractor’s subsequent arrest.

After being charged to court for stealing under the Criminal Code, he pleaded ‘not guilty’ and was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum by the presiding Magistrate, Mr A A Fashola.

Bankole was remanded in prison custody after failing to perfect the bail condition as the matter was adjourned till November 19, 2015, when the former commissioner is expected in court as witness.
