Former President Goodluck Jonathan Bags Yet Another Award

Former president, Goodluck Jonathan has once again been been nominated for the prestigious Grand Dream Child Award by the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).

According to the national president of NAWOJ, Ifeyinwa Omowole, “It is on record that Jonathan’s government enforced and even exceeded the Beijing recommendation regarding affirmative action on the empowerment of women in government many years after the Beijing conference.”

The association Jonathan and his government, more than any other, changed the fortunes of Nigerians, especially the womenfolk.

“Your administration, more than any other, changed the fortunes of Nigerians, especially the womenfolk which the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) represents.”

Accepting the award through a letter of acceptance from the office signed by Thierry H. Ngoufan, his chief of staff, Jonathan appreciated the gesture and thanked the association.

The letter extended Jonathan’s best wishes and extreme gratitude to the association for the kind words of praise, and also prayed for the success of all endeavours of the association.

Earlier, he had been chosen to present the keynote address at the 2016 Hope Global Forums conference, billed to hold in the second week of January in Atlanta
