Salihu Isa Nataro, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in an interview over the weekend in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, rallied support for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, should the president decide not to seek a second term in office come 2019. Nataro, who was a gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the APC in 2015, also urged President Buhari to give Osinbajo more responsibilities in critical areas. When Information Nigeria threw this question to Nigerians, here is what some of them had to say…

Adokiye Blakk, believes it is too early for the APC to be talking about succession, when Buhari is still yet to fulfill his campaign promises, in his words “less than one year in office, and no single election promise is fulfilled, yet this good for nothing Association of Professional Con-men (APC) who deceived Nigerians with change slogan is talking about succession, and when technically defeated Boko Haram is unleashing terror on innocent Nigerians, shame and nothing but shame to you and your group.”

Another reactor, Chuks Chuks agreed with Adokiye Blakk saying “This A.P.C are Educated-illiterate –
When the country is still unstable and even the economic show-down is currently the topics of all Nigerian citizens the APC have the gut’s to bring up the second-tenure reelection. Hold on!!!! #APC.”

Another person who reacted to the question was neither against or for. He said only better performance from Buhari and Osinbajo will bring them back in 2019 should they decide to seek re-election, he added that “We don’t need paper speech now. We need job, money in circulation, food on our table etc….Therefore better performance will translate from- Vice President to President. Without that it is a dream that can never be acheived. Sit down now and work. God bless!!!”.

Rilwan Sani who also responded, was in support of Buhari for second term. He said “No we need PMB for second time because of his prudence and fight against corrupt leaders in Nigeria. Only him will cripple the wind of the bird”

Rotimi Ogunkoya, was of thesame thought as Rilwan as he expressed his believe that Buhari can clean up the mess in Nigeria. He supported his opinion with a prayer saying “My prayer is that PMB should live beyond 2019 and run 2nd term to clean up properly. The devilish people are already planning against his life. God will not allow them.”

  1. This is the problem with some Nigerians who called themselves educated or literate. They want to cut the loom under without first cut the upper one. The poor masses are wallowing in abject poverty and suppression by our politicians and law men. The poor Nigerians are feeling the pitch alk over the body.

  3. Morning shows the day, PMB is busy thinking of what to do after over seven months of going without moving, this is not the change Nigerians expected. The people have not come to a conclude that a known devil is better than another angel, travelling up and down, at the end of the day would be a stain on the economy rather a gain.APC is a disgrace.
