Economy Collapsing Under APC, Nigeria In Dire Need Of PDP – Secondus

Uche-SecondusThe Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday repeated its observation on the economy – it is gradually sliding and getting into a state of collapse.

The acting national chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, made the observation during the special interdenominational thanksgiving, held at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, to celebrate the Supreme Court judgment that affirmed the election of Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel.

Secondus, who was unequivocal in his condemnation of the governing All Progressives Congress’ management of the economy, said Nigeria was in dire need of the PDP.

He also said enough is enough of the APC-led federal government’s harassment of states controlled by the PDP.

He said, “Nigeria is in dire need of the PDP. You can see the difference. The difference is very clear. Eight months ago, the exchange rate was N160 but today the exchange rate is N313.

“Eight months ago, vessels of ships of goods and services were competing how to enter into our harbour and seaports but none today.

“Our economy is sliding and it is getting to a point of collapse. The political situation in the country is in coma and we challenge the APC-led government that it is time for them to realise that they need the people and they do not need the guns because we are not in the military.

“We warn the APC-led government that Nigeria should not be a police state where our states are being harassed, our stakeholders are being intimidated. Enough is enough”.

Mr. Secondus, however, dedicated the victory of PDP in Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Bayelsa and Abia States to God, saying had the Lord not been on their side, those he called enemies would have captured these states.

At the thanksgiving were Governors Ayo Fayose (Ekiti), Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) and Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa).

  1. Secondus is economical with words and twisting facts to suit the needs of pdp bad leadership. The leadership of pdp should for once apologize for their mistakes and misrule of Nigeria. They should be thankful to God that Nigerians respect human lives and their rights otherwise a sizable proportion of your members should have been tied to stakes and shot at in the public glare. For not showing remorse means pdp is wicked, cruel and barbaric. You suck Nigeria and her treasury dry and secondus sees nothing wrong with that. Secondus’ head needs serious re examination.

    • Brother, you’ve aptly written what’s on my mind. It appears this doomed political party, PDP takes Nigerians for a kind of dumb idiots. Instead of apologising to the whole nation about its misrule for 16years, the stupid acting chairman, Secondus is throwing jabs at a party, APC,who’s still trying to clear up the PDP mess left behind by their incompetent President and members of his cabinet couple with thieves as members in the PDP party of rouges, liars and robbers.
