Buhari Cancels Lagos Trip

President Muhammadu Buhari has cancelled the two-day state visit to Lagos state scheduled to start on Monday, according to the Presidency.

“The truth is that the Vice-President will now represent the President in Lagos,” Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu told The Punch.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina also confirmed the development to Per Second News.

Reports say members of the President’s advanced team consisting of protocol officials, security agents, medical officers and journalists were already in Lagos ahead of president Buhari when his trip was cancelled.

Sahara Reporters claim the president’s trip was cancelled because of an ear infection.
