A Senator representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Sen Isah Hamma Misau on the floor of the senate today alleged that outgoing Inspector General of Police was corrupt because he promoted many junior officers above the ranks due to them.
Supporting the motion raised by Senator Dino Melaye that the Standing Rules of the senate is authentic and it’s not forged said that the suit filed against principal officers of the Nigerian senate was a calculated attempt by the Attorney General who may likely be sponsored by a group somewhere.

Misau, also Chairman, Senate Committee on Navy alleged that the outgoing IG was no saint as he aided in promoting officers unduly.

Meanwhile, the senate has ordered that the AGF be brought to the floor of the senate to answer questions as regards his suit against Senate President Saraki and Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu
