It is not the best of times for struggling social network company Twitter as it has fallen even further behind in the race for active users.
Twitter reported a loss in the last financial quarters following an inability to push the number of its active users past 300 million per month- a number which has remained the same for over a year. Twitter’s share price has fallen since then as investor confidence continues to fall.
Snapchat’s new numbers show that they now top Twitter in the number of active users as they average about 150 million daily users.
Snapchat’s popularity has soared among young people even as it provides options for instant and private messaging as well as a new update which many have found even more impressive.
