The palace of the Shehu of Bama, Alhaji Kyari Ibn Ibrahim Elkanemi, was in a jubilation mood when his wife and daughter abducted by the Boko Haram terrorists two years ago regained their freedom.

Some relations wept, while others were joyous when they sighted the Queen and her daughter in the company of the General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Nigeria Army, Brig. Gen. Victor Ezugwu, who brought them safely to the palace at about 1:30p.m. yesterday.

It would be recalled that Queen Hajju was abducted in 2014 alongside two of her children during deadly attacks on Bama town, which was later taken over by the insurgents. Unfortunately, her son died in the hands of the terrorists, leaving her daughter and the Queen in Boko Haram captivity, before troops rescued them during their operations around Damboa axis within the week.

Some dignitaries who visited the resident of Shehu of Bama to welcome the returnees include wife of Borno State Governor, Hajiya Nana Shettima; Deputy Governor Usman Durkwa and other government functionaries.
